Welcome to our Wedding

About us:Shane originally hails from Norway, a Viking by blood and birth, and moved to the US when he was a young child. Raised mostly in Oklahoma by an iron willed mother with an elder and younger sister, he was taught from a very young age to be respectful, protect the defenseless and uphold his own and the honor of others. He has a very strong sense of right and wrong, and is very protective of those he loves and is loyal to. A former Marine and police officer, he has served this country and multiple states faithfully and was given a purple heart. He loves to read, listen to audiobook versions of his favorite books, watch YouTube and various streaming services, and play video games. All kinds of video games, but mostly on PC.Amanda was born and raised for the first part of her life in sunny California with a younger sister, mostly in the foster care system. She doesn't remember a lot about her childhood out on the west coast except for really good 90's music and swimming a lot as a kid, lol! At 13, she and her sister moved to Indiana, where they spent the next 26 years of their lives. In 2011, her step-dad passed away to cancer. After that, Amanda spent her time trying to navigate work, home, and relationships. In November 2024, she moved to Arkansas with her cousins and has lived there since. Shane also lives with them as well. Amanda loves reading more than any other past time, although watching Asian dramas is a close second! She also loves to crochet, cross stitch, sketch, write, and of course play video games...

Our story starts on a random afternoon by a random acquaintance of both Amanda and Shane (in FFXIV), who decides that Shane needed to make a new friend, and maybe be introduced to a star-crossed love. What he didn't know was that he really was creating love at first message.Shane and Amanda were introduced, and honestly, at first, Amanda was suspicious of her now-much-loved partner. The person that introduced them... well... he ended up not being the most stand-up person. But Shane... he was and is... one in a million... billion... the universe. The moment Amanda started to talk to him, really talk to him... she knew she loved him. The feeling hit her in the gut like a ton of bricks, and it didn't let up. She knew in her heart she had found the right guy. And Shane felt the same way. Amanda tugged at him, unmet and unseen, through the distance but connected by the common love of a video game. Their favorite video game. One they still continually play, together. They met through FFXIV on February 24th, 2025. It turned out they only lived 84 miles apart!!! They met in person on March 14th, 2025. And they have been connected at the hip since. Their love only grows stronger, as well as their understanding of one another. They work on nurturing a healthy, strong relationship and a strong connection to one another. Whether they're watching silly youtube videos together or playing video games side by side, their love is bright and encompassing.

We're both disabled and on a very limited income, and times are tough. If you can or would like to help make our day as special as possible (and it is by no means required!!) a donation, small or otherwise, would be greatly appreciated and would help more than you know. There are amazing people out there. We honestly don't count ourselves amongst them, though we're glad we found each other! But you, all of you reading, by liking, sharing, or donating, you're only reinforcing how awesome and amazing you are, and sharing your sparkle with the universe. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.
